NORTH WALES CARAVAN TRANSPORT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Booking Conditions
The price you are quoted is for collection from and delivery to the agreed addresses, including the supply of an escort vehicle and/or 2nd operative. The price doesn’t include the provision of a siting vehicle (4×4), unless otherwise agreed in writing. At the collection point the caravan must be in a suitable position for loading (if in any doubt please ask for advice) and there must be enough space in front of the caravan for the lorry and ramps (approximately 50-60ft). At the delivery location the driver will unload in the safest and most suitable position on the property.
At the start of the booking process you will be asked for the full addresses of both the collection and delivery locations to enable us to obtain a movement order. These must be provided as soon as possible and absolutely no later than 10 days prior to the date of the movement. In the event that we have not received either or both of the addresses by this time, we will be unable to complete your movement, it may be cancelled and the below cancellation terms will apply.
At the start of the booking process you will be asked to provide the size of the caravan. You must physically measure the size of the caravan as many manufacturers make their caravans larger than the size at which they are badged. The caravan will be measured by us on collection and if its larger than the measurements provided its highly likely that the movement order will become invalid, the movement will therefore be cancelled and the below cancellation terms will apply.
During the booking process and after you have booked your slot you may be asked to provide further information including but not limited to additional details of the collection and/or delivery address, including photos and/or videos of access and loading/unloading areas. This information must be provided to us as soon as possible and absolutely no later than 10 days prior to the movement. Failure to provide the requested information by this time will result in the cancellation of your movement and the below cancellation terms will apply. In the event of us deeming it unsafe or not possible to complete the movement once you’ve provided the requested information, any monies paid to us will be refunded provided the information was received by us no later than 10 days prior to the movement.
Wheels, tyres and the caravan chassis must be in a loadable condition (if in any doubt please ask for advice). All doors and windows must be closed and secured. Any flues on the roof of the caravan that extend further than the pitch of the roof should be removed to prevent damage. All belongings other than the standard furniture supplied with the caravan must be removed to prevent weight issues and damage during transport. We also recommend you secure all doors, drawers, loose items and freestanding furniture to prevent damage during transport.
Upon arriving at the collection location, if the caravan is not ready to load, is in an inadequate location for loading, or is unable to be loaded due to the condition of the wheels, tyres or chassis, the lorry may not be able to wait for the issue(s) to be resolved, in which case the booking will be cancelled automatically and the below cancellation terms will apply. You will usually be provided with an AM/PM slot when booking, with a more accurate time provided at least the day prior to collection. It is the customer’s responsibility to make us aware of any access issues at the collection or destination site, failure to do so could result in the cancellation of your transport on the day with no refund offered. If damage to the caravan is caused as a direct result of the customer failing to notify us of any access issues, the customer will be solely liable for any such damage.
Invoice Conditions
To secure your booking a deposit of 25% of the total booking fee is required, followed by the balance no later than 7 days prior to the movement. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking and the loss of your deposit.
Cancellation Terms (including us cancelling due to the reasons in Booking Conditions)
Cancellation before 14 days prior to the movement date: Full Refund.
Cancellation 14 days prior to the movement date up to 7 days prior to the movement date: 25% of total booking fee charged.
Cancellations after 7 days prior to the movement date: 100% of total booking fee charged.
Cancellation By Us
In exceptional circumstances, such as but not limited to breakdown or inclement weather, it may be necessary for us to cancel your booking. If it becomes necessary for us to cancel your booking you will first be offered an alternative movement date, however if we’re unable to agree an alternative date then you will receive a full refund.
Conditions of Transit
North Wales Caravan Transport accepts no responsibility or liability for any damages caused during transit by matters beyond our control, including but not limited to bird strikes, fallen trees and branches, stone chips and inclement weather.
Due to the exceptional size of static caravans, we accept no responsibility or liability for any damages caused while traveling on any road other than a motorway or A road unless otherwise agreed. If the damage is caused by failure to declare access issues (including narrow entrances/exits or roads) any such damage again is the total responsibility of the customer.
